Having only produced three full length albums, it hardly seems necessary for the band to have a boxed set released, but apparently the public wanted something new from Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell. Video Bank is meant to accompany the audio release of Music Bank. While Music Bank is a compilation of most of the songs already released by Alice in Chains in alternate mixes and demo versions, Video Bank is a collection of all the band’s videos and a short ten minute compilation of home video shot by the band. Though many people may not be impressed with a three CD set of songs they already own, they just may be impressed by the videos contained on Video Bank. This compilation includes the videos for Man in a Box, Heaven Beside You, and Them Bones, all of which saw heavy rotation on MTV. It also includes hidden gems like two separate video versions of The Rooster and We Die Young, as well as lesser seen videos for hits such as Angry Chair and Down in a Hole.
